Tom Bilyeu is an American entrepreneur best known as a co-founder of billion dollar brand Quest Nutrition, at one time the second fastest growing private company in North America. Tom is now a self-development speaker and founder of Impact Theory.

I love to listen to his show Impact Theory on Youtube, when your feeling a little down or like your life is going no where fast then listen to him and his guests and you are sure to be fired up with the level of wisdom and sheer motivational words that are in each and every interview.

A few tips from him are below and have a watch of his video..

1. Don’t ask what’s the least you can do. Ask what’s the most you can bear.

The standards you set for your effort determine the kind of results you’ll get. There’s no secret ingredient. You have to do the work.

Greatness comes from sacrificing comfort. You have too get the time wasters out of your life binge watching TV, going out every weekend, social media what is it that you waste time on? Change your habits. Change your life.

Lets Rewrite our Subconcious Mind

After listening to and reading a tonne of books on this subject I realised that you can have all the knowledge in the world but if we don’t practice then it’s not of much use.

Daily Practice in anything is the way to programme our subconscious brain.

I learned the times table at school by constantly repeating these daily so they are stored into my computer brain.  I also learned all the words to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air over 18 years ago and wow it’s still in there along with so much more useless information.  I can drive a car without thinking about it, oh and I can ride a bike too.  So if all this information has been stored  into the computer brain then what else is in there.  There is lots of limiting beliefs and negative emotions which has been stored.

Look at your day and see what you have programmed into your day.

  1. Getting kids ready and out the door for school.  Do you programme that your going to be stressed, rushed and loose your patience and kids will have melt downs.  This was my life until I realised it didn’t have to be.  Okay so every day is not a walk in the park but when I realise I slip into panic mode about being late I take a few breaths have a word with myself and we get there, we are always early so my panicking is just using up my energy and giving my kids a horrible start to the day.  Each day I practice having more patience and my children are my greatest teachers.
  2. Eating healthy  and exercising – but eating a cake is just so much more satisfying.  Yet the guilt after it is just not worth those ten minutes of pleasure yet I do it anyway and then my negative self talk about how I never stick to anything, I shall always be fat and how everyone is better at it than me.  Spiralling negative self talk leads to low mood and energy been drained from our bodies.  So I realise that I either eat the cake, enjoy it and don’t regret it, stop the thoughts in motion.  Or I lay off the cake and feel absolutely empowered at how strong I am.  If I keep on saying no to the Cake I get stronger and stronger.  (I love a chocolate cake)  This one I am working on..
  3. My night-time sleep can be amazing when I meditate but if I miss a few days than wow its back to being rubbish.  (programme)
  4. Eating 3 meals a day (programmed from generations)
  5. Save up for your retirement then have a life (Programmes)

This list can go on and on – Write down your daily programmes by becoming aware of your thoughts and your behaviour.  It can be very interesting to see what your programming is and where it has come from.

Lets Change it but How?

1. Trust your subconscious mind, recognise and become aware of your fears and habits

2.  Interview your subconscious

3. Make a promise, set the intention to work with your subconscious.

4.  Get examples – Douse your subconscious in positive case studies in the programme that you want to achieve..  Your subconscious will do anything you say is possible.

5.  Ingrain this new power into your subconscious.

Repeat, Repeat, Repeat.

Make it happen faster by putting a strong emotion behind it.

Change your physiology

Visualise again and again the new you as if you already have achieved it.

I set a reminder every hour on my phone when I have a programme that I want to pop into my subconscious goals

The adult brain is much more changeable and modifiable than had previously been believed. There is now a large amount of evidence to show that damaged neural (brain) circuitry resulting from severe childhood trauma can be corrected, reshaping our brain anatomy and consequent behaviour, with the right kind of therapeutic interventions. In other words, it is now clear that brain architecture continues to change throughout adulthood, and this can be manipulated in highly beneficial directions

Your brain is constantly adapting and rewiring itself. Your thoughts and behaviors influence this process. If certain thoughts and behaviors are repeated often enough, a strong connection, also known as a neural pathway, is created.

One reason why it is so difficult to change the way you think, feel, and behave is that your beliefs and corresponding neural pathways have been formed early in life. They have been reinforced and strengthened, over and over again. In other words, your brain activity has carved out a deep and well traveled road. If that road remains and no new roads are built and strengthened, it is very difficult to change your ways, and you will easily fall back into old patterns. Creating and strengthening new, positive neural pathways is an essential part of achieving lasting change.

The good news is that we all have the ability to learn and change by rewiring our brains. If you have ever changed a bad habit, or thought about something differently, you have carved a new pathway in your brain, experiencing neuroplasticity firsthand. With repeated and directed attention towards your desired change, you can effectively rewire your brain to move forward and live a healthy, abundant life.

 

So to be confident is to take action, but how does one begin acting confidently? Practice playing the confidence scales, i.e., take small steps in your daily life that accumulate into confidence. 

  • Reinforce and internalize every positive experience, no matter how small.
  • Remember, in detail, the best memories you have had when you were confident or really in a flow state.
  • Intentionally call up your strengths and focus on how good it is to feel strong, confident, etc…
  • Set goals (intentions) and be sure all levels of your nervous system (thoughts, emotions, intentions, arousal) are all in sync. Then, act as if you have already achieved your goal.

Consciously practice thinking, feeling, visualizing and acting in alignment with your desired intention. When you do this you will stop the unconscious habit of recycling the past and activate your ability to rewire your brain in the present moment.

What is CBD Oil Used For?

The world is beginning to realize that cannabis is not what cheap politics make it be. The oil extracted from the plant is a healer in more ways than one.

CBD or Cannabidiol is one of the many compounds found in cannabis. This compound is quite predominant in the cannabis plant, and that is why it has been extensively studied. Different types of cannabis plants vary on the level of compound present, but research has made it possible to grow plants that have higher levels of CBD than THC. This extract is what is being used medicinally.

CBD does not affect the mind or its processes, which is why the medical fraternity use it. Lack of psychoactive properties ensures that it has no side effects when used on humans.

Research is ongoing on the medical benefits of CBD oil, but so far, it has been used for the following:

  1. CBD and Anxiety

Anxiety presents in any forms. It may come as the fear you get when faced with a big decision such as exams, wedding, or any other life altering decisions. While anxiety is not a desirable quality, it could help one cope with threats to survival. Before it becomes an uncontrollable disorder, you can control it quite easily with drugs and proactivity.

Anxiety disorder is entirely different, though. It can interfere with the way you live such that you are totally unable to control the way you react to almost anything. You are faced with a crippling fear for life. It becomes quite severe when that overwhelming fear incapacitates you.

The most common anxiety disorders include:

Panic attacks, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, and other phobias. Anxiety disorder is characterized by excessive sweating, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, insomnia, feelings of dizziness and sudden panic, muscle tension, and nausea.

While Big Pharma has come up with several highly effective treatment options for anxiety, they do not work well for some people. In other instances, they leave some bad side effects. CBD oil has been seen to have positive effects on anxiety patients. Since it is non-psychoactive, it has minimal or no side effects. The key is its administration. Studies have shown that controlled levels of CBD can control anxiety. Ongoing studies show that it has the potential to treat multiple anxiety disorders.

How Does It Work?

  • As a 5-HT1A agonist

Anxiety can be treated with medication that specifically targets the serotonin system. 5-HT1A, a subtype of the serotonin receptor helps here. Drug companies develop selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, abbreviated as SSRIs, which block the re-absorption of serotonin in the brain. More serotonin in the synaptic space helps reduce anxiety. CBD has qualities similar to SSRI.

  • Hippocampal Neurogenesis

This part of the brain plays many roles. Brain scans of patients suffering from anxiety showed them to have a smaller hippocampus. Growth (neurogenesis) of new neurons in the hippocampus helps fight anxiety according to studies  done on mice. Research shows that CBD and SSRI can help regenerate the hippocampus.

  1. CBD and Epilepsy

It is a condition that affects the brain and causes the patient to have epileptic seizures. Suffering one seizure does not mean that you have the condition. It is not until you have more than one epileptic seizure that it can be said to be epilepsy.

A study was conducted children with severe cases of epilepsy. Thirteen of those children had Dravet syndrome, four had Doose syndrome, and the other two had Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and idiopathic epilepsy. The results, which were submitted by 19 parents whose children had been involved in the study showed reduced frequency of seizures in 84 percent of the patients. 11percent reported complete freedom from seizures, 42 percent of them showed an 80 percent reduction in seizures, and 32 percent, 25-60 percent reduction in frequency. They all showed minimal or no side effects from the use of CBD extract. In some cases, the reduction in frequency was up to 80 percent, as reported by the parents.

The side effects from the use if this extract were drowsiness and fatigue. Apart from the frequency improvement, the children also showed improved moods, better sleeping patterns, and improved alertness.

While the study showed some side effects, which gave it a bad rap, it also shows some great improvements in children. Their level of epilepsy, which is characterized by multiple seizures, was quite severe. The fact that CBD reduced the frequency says a lot about its potency. Further studies with a more pure form of CBD could show better results.

  1. CBD Oil and Pain

As people age, they become susceptible to pain. Injuries from youth tend to get revived by age and small new injuries also take longer to heal. Research shows that about 1.5 billion people all over the world suffer from pain.

Pain is a trigger from the brain that alerts you of possible injury in your body. When it persists for weeks, then it becomes chronic. The brain keeps firing it up, letting you know that the body is hurting. While generic medicine is effective in relieving the body of pain, opiates are addictive, especially if the pain is persistent. CBD oil has been seen to have positive impacts on pain. The only concern is that most of the studies conducted use it together with THC for effect.

Most studies carried out to show the effects of CBD have been done on mice. This study is no exception. CBP potentiates glycine receptors, which relieve pain in the spinal cord. There are no conclusive studies to show the effect on chronic spinal pain.

In another study, Sativex, which contains both CBD and some levels of THC was tested to see its effect on neuropathic pain. The patients who were out on Sativex reported levels of relief from the application of CBD.

Further studies involving the use of Sativex show that sprays can help relief pain from multiple sclerosis, with a bias on spasticity and neuropathic pain.

  1. CBD As An Antioxidant

Our bodies age over time, which is normal. With age comes a host of problems, including muscular degeneration. This is one of the many reasons why we are urged to incorporate antioxidants in our diets. Antioxidants counteract oxidative stress, which occurs as a result of oxidation during biological processes. The by-product of these processes is free radicals, highly reactive and unstable molecules that damage DNA structures, proteins, and cells.

While the body has a complex system that involves enzymes and nutrients such as Vitamins C &E, oxidative stress could overwhelm them. The results of an accumulation of free radicals are degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, cardiovascular diseases, and rheumatoid arthritis among others.

In this study, CBD is seen to protect neurons from exposure to the neurotransmitter (glutamate) that plays a significant role in several neurodegenerative disorders. In that study, antioxidant levels in CBD were found to be higher than those in Vitamins C & E by 30-50%. This study was then followed up by another one done on animals as opposed to cell cultures and it showed the same results.

Further pre-clinical trials have been done in a variety of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, myocardial ischemia, collagen-induced arthritis, and diabetes. Researchers favor CBD due to its affinity to CB2 receptors and its lack of psychoactive effects.

Conclusion

CBD oil is undoubtedly beneficial in most ways. The fact that it does not affect the functions of the brain is especially what makes it an attractive option. However, extensive further studies are needed on the benefits of the oil in the human body and maybe even to find out what else it could do. There is also need to educate the people on the difference between CBD and THC. Maybe that will reduce the stigma associated with the mention of cannabis.

The three diamonds of Earth Ki, Heaven Ki and Heart Ki are at the foundation of the system of Reiki. They are also at the crux of many facets of Japanese culture, religion and philosophy.

A diamond is often used as an analogy of the self in Buddhism. Each and every day a practitioner polishes the diamond by performing his or her practice. This is a constant task for humans who, in this earthly realm, attract dirt: becoming muddy and tarnished. A diamond is so sharp that it can cut through almost anything humanity attaches itself to, bringing back the true essence of life as seen in the perfection of a sparkling diamond.

The Earth Centre also known as the hara, is the most important of these centres. This is where energy is stored and drawn from to expand throughout the entire body.
A Reiki practitioner can train to link all three diamonds. This will create unity and balance. In order do this, you must first develop the Earth Centre because the Earth Centre is the body’s central axis point. It is considered the base of the pyramid of the body and where energetic strength is developed.

In this centre, Original Energy is stored. This is the energy you are born with, the energy that is the essence of your life and gives you your life’s purpose. How to Balance the Three Diamonds with Reiki

This meditation is a favourite of mine. It is very simple and will help you to feel the energy of The Three Diamonds in your body and balance them.

 

REIKI EXERCISE TO BALANCE THE THREE DIAMONDS

There are different ways to do this meditation but I found this one to be easier to remember.

Lie on your back.
Place one hand on your forehead (Third Eye Chakra/Heaven Centre) and the other on your heart (Heart Chakra/Oness of Heart Centre).
Maintain this position for 5 or more minutes.

Move the hand that was on your forehead to your lower abdomen (The Second Chakra/Belly Chakra/Hara/Earth Centre.Maintain this position for 5 or more minutes.

Move the hand that was on your heart to your forehead. Now you will have one hand on the forehead (Third Eye Chakra/Heaven Centre) and one on the lower abdomen (Root Chakra/Hara/Earth Centre). Hold this position for 5 or more minutes.

The first time I performed this exercise I was amazed at how much I was able to feel the energy moving and balancing within my body. It rebalances my energy very quickly without fail. I hope it works as well for you!

Discovering New People!

The more I research into Energy Healing  the more people I discover amazing new techniques to learn and practice.  I am finding that there is a theme that seems to underly most of them.  Meditation, Forgiveness, Love and Compassion, to be aware of thoughts and emotions, breathing practices and a presence in the moment.

I do love how many of these people were scientists, quantum physicists, chiropractors, doctors.  I think I like this as it proves what I have been practicing with Reiki and also for the mainstream people who may be put of by Reiki and energy healing as they think its just for hippies and New age People…

Be Who Ever You Choose to BE

You actually have the power to be and to feel however you want. And anyone that has a vision for who they want to be and their life should be doing this. Every day.

Here’s how it works, in a super abbreviated nutshell:
• Your brain is a record of the past and a reflection of your external environment.
• You basically do the same thing every day — in essentially the same way (think of your routine: you brush your teeth the same way, you have your auto-pilot shower routine, take the same route to work, etc). This is your reality. You produce the same experiences that create the same emotions. You see the same people that push the same emotional buttons. You are thinking the same thoughts, performing the same actions, and living by the same emotions.
• You process 60-70,000 thoughts per day. And a whopping 90% of these are the same as the day before.
• The same thoughts will lead to the same choices. The same choices will create the same behaviors. The same behaviors will produce the same experiences, which will create the same emotions, and then — back to square one — drive the same thoughts.
• The good news is that you can change the pattern.
• But to change you need to think greater than your environment, greater than the circumstances of your life.

These are words from the great Dr Joe Dispenza.  I started to do his meditations, along with mindfulness.  Changing your thoughts is a full time process in the beginning, becoming aware of all the thoughts and keeping an eye on them to see what loops that are playing.  Then change them, visualise, self talk, creating the new emotion and repeat.

Personally I watched mind movies and listened to motivational speeches everyday.  I practice mindfulness, energy healing (donna eden energy routine) Exercise and eating well.  Do not give up, it takes a while for it to sink in to the subconscious mind but over time it will change.

REIKI – Anxiety and Panick

 I have been practicing Reiki for 10 years and use Reiki in my daily life.  I use reiki on my family/pets/food/plants and of course myself.  I find it gives me a sense of being present and when practiced daily you too will find the wonderful benefits of this calming treatment.

 My own personal experience with Reiki has been my own unique journey and yours will be too.  Reiki came into my life when I needed it the most, when I was experiencing anxiety and panick attacks

Looking back on my  journey now I am so thankful that I had experienced these anxieties within my past as it is a part of my journey.  Reiki and Mindfulness Meditation has made me face myself, my fears and emotions that I buried inside my subconscious mind.  During my time with reiki I have gone through many emotions myself and discovered a lot about the way my mind works. 

I felt a fake at times as I was experiencing anxiety and I was the one trying to help people.  This lead me to delve a lot deeper into how the mind works (chimp paradox- mind management book  – highly recommend this one if you experience negative emotions surfacing) along with daily practice of reiki and meditation.

 

You don’t need to have health problems to be a great Reiki Master but what I will tell you is that throughout your own life’s journey with Reiki you will experience many different emotions and revelations within yourself. 

 

Reiki is not just a course you do then you get a certificate and that’s you a Reiki Master.  This is a lifelong commitment that you make to yourself to fully immerse yourself into this. 

 

I must admit I didn’t understand this at all when I did my Reiki one and Two.  I thought it was just a nice course I could do to help myself and get money from people to help them. 

 

It is so much more than this.   It is a way of life, a daily practice, it really does make you a better person if you truly want to be.  Everyone wants to grow both emotionally, physically and spiritually and with Reiki you will grow in all areas of your life.
